F-35 Lightning II (Lockheed Martin)

In Weeze, Rheinmetall will in future manufacture at least 400 center fuselage sections for the world's most advanced fighter jet, the F-35.

Production is scheduled to begin in July 2025. Since January, heavy haulage transports from the USA have been arriving at the new plant next to Weeze Airport – a total of around 35 in all. In a few days, the installation of the Northrop Grumman machines will begin in the factory. We have captured the delivery of the very first parts, packed in packages of around 5 tons, in the video.

The first U.S. Air Force in Europe F-35A arrived at Cameri’s Euro-Med Airframe MRO&U Facility for planned depot maintenance...

The F-35 maintenance process can be summarized in four main levels.

The first level is called OLM (Organizational Level Maintenance) and it is the lowest level of maintenance, primarily performed by operating units during everyday operations.

The second level is called IML (Intermediate Level Maintenance) and involves more complex maintenance actions. This level is performed by maintenance personnel with more specialized training, either at the home base or factory, depending on equipment and infrastructure availability.

The third and highest level of physical maintenance is called DLM (Depot Level Maintenance), which is performed at specialized depot facilities such as Cameri, in Italy, for major repairs, overhaul, and upgrades.

Last but not least, the fourth level, which is integral across all other levels, focuses on software maintenance and upgrades, ensuring the aircraft’s systems remain current and operationally effective throughout its service life.

F-35 Cues Ground Artillery in ‘Minutes’ with New Data Gateway at Major NATO Exercise...

In this real-time live fly exercise, Dutch F-35s operating in an Anti-Access Area Denial environment, successfully detected, identified, and passed targeting data on multiple simulated ground effectors via Multifunction Advanced Datalink through a Skunk Works' Open Systems Gateway (OSG) into Keystone. Keystone then transmitted the data to a rocket artillery platform which engaged a ground target and confirmed successful takedown, effectively closing the loop. This entire process was executed from start to finish in a matter of minutes. This is a first, and a significant step forward in multi-domain integration, proving F-35 interoperability between several allied nations in real-time.

By unlocking the vast amount of data from an F-35, the Skunk Works OSG enables allied air and missile defense systems to receive precise targeting information, allowing them to detect, track, and defeat threats more effectively. This enhanced situational awareness, and interoperability empowers joint forces to respond more quickly and decisively, ultimately strengthening collective defense of partners and allies.

Ott?

Szerintem azok csavarok, ha megnézed, mintha ívelődő nyilak is lennének mellettük. Tippre gondolom rögzítések, esetleg élesítők fél/teljes fordulatos csavarjai.
