“There’s just greater and greater levels of inspections going on,” Plueger, who heads the largest publicly traded U.S. aircraft lessor, said on an earnings call Monday. “As yet today, it’s difficult to see a definitive fix that is agreeable by the aviation authorities and all going forward.”
Boeing hasn’t delivered any of the advanced aircraft since October while it inspects and repairs tiny imperfections that have cropped up on the interior lining of the jets’ carbon-fiber airframes. With about 80 Dreamliners sitting in storage, restarting deliveries is crucial to the company’s turnaround after it burned through about $20 billion last year."

Agép egyébkén 26 éves volt és hozta azt amit kell, nem szakadt le a motor, épségben leszállt. Bőven van miért ostorozni a Boeinget, De te is pontosan tudod, hogy a motort nem ők tervezik, nem ők gyártyák, nem ők szervizelik. Ez a hiba pont nemaz ő saruk, ahogy a Dreamlinereknél a Rolls-Royce motorok idő elötti elfáradása sem az övék volt.
Ne legyünk már ennyire szemellenzősek...

Mar a balesetek elott is vizsgálódás volt a PW4000 körül, tervezték az erősebb borítást is - most ugy néz ki, sebesen cserélni kell őket?

Az FAA vizsgálatnak még nincs vége, de kiadtak egy sürgésségi buletenit hogy az összes PW4000-112 hajtóműről le kell szerelni a ventillátor fokozat üreges titán lapátjait és vissza kell őket küldeni a gyárba egy úgynevezett TAI (Thermal Acustic Imaging / Inspection) repedés vizsgálatra.
A TAI vizsgálat elég komplex dolog és P&W cégnek eléggés fel kell kötni a gatyát.
