A clear photo showing the Hawker Hurricane MKI after yesterday's incident has been released. This exact hurricane is a Battle of Britain veteran, which was shot down on the 28th of September 1940 and was restored to the airworthy condition by Elmsett based Hawker Restorations and performed its first post-restoration flight (after 78 years!) on 30th of August 2018. The aircraft will soon be moved to the hangar where the damage will be assessed but it has already been announced that the owner is committed to return G-HRLI back to flight!
There has been an accident involving a 1940s Hawker Hurricane MKI (G-HRLI – V7497) at Duxford (GB) today. Reportedly a landing gear collapsed on landing, thankfully the pilot is unharmed. At this moment it is unclear on how much damage has been done to the aircraft. More to follow.
The pilot had exited the aircraft prior to our arrival and was not injured.
Hurricane crash at Cheb Aviation Days
During the Hawker Hurricane Mk. IV’s show on Sunday afternoon, the second day of Cheb’s aviation day, the aircraft crashed in a house.
A Hawker Hurricane (OO-HUR) from the Aviation Museum in Tocna, close to Prague, crashed on Sunday, August 14, 2022, while doing its display that had to start at 15.21 local time. Sadly, it was determined that the accident sadly claimed the life of the pilot.

Nagyon fura az utolsó figura, nem értem, mi volt az elképzelés. Az ilyen bemutatókon gondolom, hogy tervezett programot repülnek a pilóták, és nem rögtönöznek. Vagy igen?
A pilóta nagy tapasztalattal rendelkezett MiG-21-esen és B737-esen.
