WASHINGTON, December 4, 2023 -

The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of the United Arab Emirates of AN/TPQ-50 Radar and related equipment for an estimated cost of $85 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale today.

The Government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has requested to buy eighteen (18) AN/TPQ-50 Radar Systems – man portable version. Also included are 107mm High Explosive (HE) rockets (for CONUS testing only); Computer Digital Military Laptop Radar Control Display units; 5kW Advanced Medium Mobile Power Source (AMMPS) Trailer-Mounted, Diesel Engine Driven Power Unit PU-2001; spares; mission equipment; communication and navigation equipment; support equipment; repair parts; special tools and test equipment; technical data and publications; site survey; U.S. Government and contractor technical and logistics personnel services; and other related elements of logistics and program support. The estimated total cost is $85 million.

This proposed sale will support the foreign policy and national security of the United States by helping to improve the security of an important regional partner. The UAE is a vital U.S. partner for political stability and economic progress in the Middle East.

The proposed sale will support efforts to protect critical infrastructure and high value civilian assets, as well as military installations and forces from rocket, artillery, and mortar (RAM) and unmanned aerial system threats. It will also further enhance the United States – UAE relationship, both politically and militarily, while also increasing the UAE’s effectiveness in executing military and civil defense operations that promote U.S. national interests. The UAE will use the TPQ-50 radars to recognize incoming threats from hostile nations or agents of adversary nations. The United Arab Emirates will have no difficulty absorbing this equipment and services into its armed forces.

The proposed sale of this equipment and support will not alter the basic military balance in the region.

The principal contractor will be SRC Inc, Syracuse, NY. There are no known offset agreements proposed in connection with this potential sale.

Implementation of this proposed sale will not require the permanent assignment of any additional U.S. Government or contractor representatives to the UAE. Temporary periods of travel for two-week durations for both U.S. Government and contractor personnel will be necessary to conduct Operator/Maintainer training, as well as System Integration & Check Out (SICO)/Quality Assurance and Testing (QUAT) activities.

There will be no adverse impact on U.S. defense readiness as a result of this proposed sale.

The description and dollar value are for the highest estimated quantity and dollar value based on initial requirements. Actual dollar value will be lower depending on final requirements, budget authority, and signed sales agreement(s), if and when concluded.
 
GM200 MM/C radar handed over to Dutch army...

The handover included a live demonstration of the Scania Gryphus 8×8 truck-mounted system at the Dutch Ministry of Defence's ‘t Harde firing range on 15 February, tracking 81 mm mortar rounds and 155 mm Panzerhaubitze (PzH) shells fired at the range, as well as a pair of Puma unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

StormGuard földicélbemérő és Othello EO rakéta/lövedék/lövés érzékelő és EW felderitő-bemérő antennák vannak az alsó sorban.
Felül az ELM-2138 GreenRock radarkomplexum.Ez alapvetően a 2106 ATAR radar utódja,amit a Spyder rendszer is használ (kinálatban van továbbra is,csak ma már AESA antennával,kb a Sentinel kategóriája).Spyder AIO a radaros inditó/vezérlő járművön ezt használja.Különálló radarként is használható,fix (konténeres) vagy járműre telepitve (mozgás közbeni működésre képes).IDF csapatlégvédelmi alegységeinél most folyik a rendszerbeállitása.
És multifunkciós.Képes tüzérségi tűzbemérésre,légtérellenörzési feladattal párhuzamosan.Megint nincs hivatalos gyári infő,de szagértői becslések szerint egy 105milis tarackot 25-30km távolságra képes kimetszeni.Lényegében a 2084 kistestvére.
És nem ez az egyetlen ilyen újhullámos radar.Pl a NASAMS rendszer új GhostEye radarja is (románok ha a NASAMSt vállasztják,már azzal fogják kapni)

Orosz 1L271 hordozható földicélfelderitő és tűzbemérő lokátor.81 és 120milis av ütegek és 76milis hegyi ágyúk,meg a D30 tüzér osztályokhoz lett tervezve.Kb 20km a hatótávja.
Vagyis egy korszerűen felszerelt zlhcsop minden felszereléssel rendelkezik,hogy minimum 20km-es körzetben bármilyen tüzérségi eszközt be tudjon mérni.És saját tűzeszközeivel ellentüzet tud adni,illetve BMS rendszer segitségével magasabb szint tűzeszközeinek céladatokat tud biztositani.
Vagyis az ellentűz adás,egyáltalán a tüzérségi ellentűz mint metódus,egyáltalán nem csak a nagy lőtávolságú eszközök szintjén létezik.

As of 22nd July 2024, five next generation Arthur systems, named TAIPAN by the British Army, have been delivered, accepted, and are now with 5th Regiment Royal Artillery.

Replacing MAMBA – last generation Arthur radar – TAIPAN offers the British Army rapid deployment and re-deployment, high operational mobility, and precise counter-battery operations, locating an increased number of targets at greater range with reduced electronic warfare signatures, leveraging Saab’s Digital Antenna technology. This ensures survivability, reliability and high availability. The Royal Artillery formally accepted TAIPAN as 5th Regiment’s Colours on June 28th at Larkhill Camp.
