In analyzing the availability and use of aircraft by the U.S. Army from 2000 to 2023, CBO found that the number of manned aircraft has decreased and availability has increased. Average flying hours per aircraft have fallen since 2011.

Ez a DoD okorsegei miatt van ám így gyakran.
Olyan járulékos követelmények vannak, hogy utána így keresik vissza azok árát.
Már írtam példának, de pl. anno egy mondjuk $100k EMC storage system a hadseregnek mar $500k körül kóstál, mert közben 4 hr missiln critical supportot kér hozzá - valahol a világ közepén. Érted, ahelyett, hogy venne KETTŐT és felvenne egy mérnököt, aki egyébként mást is csinál, de ha éppen semmit csak filmeket néz, akkor is olcsóbb.

The U.S. Air Force is looking to buy two Tesla Cybertrucks for use as targets for precision munitions during testing and training.

The service says it needs these vehicles for this purpose specifically because of the prospect of unspecified adversaries driving around in them in the future.

The Cybertrucks are among 33 target vehicles the Air Force Test Center (AFTC) is looking to acquire and have delivered to the White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) in New Mexico, according to contracting documents recently posted online.
