Asszem' az eredeti elképzelés az volt hogy bázisok védelmére alkalmazzák, de valószínűsítem hogy a teherautó hátáról is képes tüzelni.

Újabb szösszenet az Alakranról...egy rövid videó hogyan is működik a rendszer.A Spanyolok viszont szerintem okos dolgot talátak ki.
Csőhűtéssel látták el az Alakran aknavetőjüket.
Ennek segítségével az aknavető húsz percen keresztül tudja tarani a percenként négy lövéses ütemet úgy hogy a cső hőmérséklete nem megy 100 C fölé.
E nélkül a cső ilyen ütemnél 500 C-ra melegedne.
Ha a cső eléri a 220 C-ot akkor a gránát hajító töltete azonnal meggyulladna amint a csőbe tennék.
A hűtést úgy oldják meg hogy a csövet körülvették egy köpennyel és finom vízpárát spriccelnek a csőre.

Az újdonság az, hogy az Aselsan bejelentette, hogy a 120mm-es után megépítették a 81mm-es Alkar aknavetőt is.
Mondjuk működésrőn nem nagyon van szó, de ahogy látom ez kézi töltésű.

Egy fokkal komolyabban lehet ezt ilyen moduláris platformként is felfogni. Amennyiben nem ez a konténer kellene, akkor a teherautó egy másik fajtát markolna fel.
Persze el lehet képzelni, mint tábori körülmények között is. Mint ahogy most is Afganisztánban bevágnak egy ágyút a tábor közepére meg némi C-RAM -ot ide-oda, aztán, adott esetben ágyúval is oda lehet suhintani, ha az "ellenérdekeltek" közel merészkednek. Hát most majd ilyet is le lehet dobni majd egyes kiemelt lőirányokra ...

The Toyota tracked vehicle is based on a modified Land Cruiser wheeled vehicle chassis, the wheels were removed and replaced by tracks systems designed by the Company Mattracks.
The front of the vehicle is fitted with an enclosed cabin with two seats, the rear part of the vehicle has a cargo area equipped with a Thales Scorpion 81mm mortar system.
Scorpion is an integrated automated mobile mortar platform, capable of target acquisition, onboard fire control, and automatic laying of the mortar tube.
Mounted on a single palletized platform, it fires from the back of a vehicle in less than 15 seconds. This is made possible through ballistics calculations, orientation methods and recoil absorption.
The Scorpion can operate in day or night conditions. It boasts direct and indirect fire capabilities with high accuracy (pointing and positioning), improved responsiveness and rapid target switching (shoot, shift, shoot). It has a high first round hit probability and is digitally connected to the battlefield.

EXPAL reaches an important milestone in the development of the new Dual-EIMOS on-board mortar system, which is completing its validation under the UTEX Experimental Tactical Unit program with the SDGPLATIN. On November 26th , during the official tests of the program that were carried out at CENAD San Gregorio ( Zaragoza), members of the DGAM-SDGPLATIN, Marine Corps, Army, DGAM-GESPRO, and the Navy Logistic Support Head Office (JAL) attended to learn about the system in a demonstration carried out in the context of high protection measures due the COVID-19.
The new Dual-EIMOS is an 81mm on-board mortar on a highly mobile 4×4 light tactical vehicle with deep fording capability, automatic fire control and integrated with TALOS C2 System; the Dual-EIMOS has been developed following the Navy’s Requirements and its versatility will be maintained also for terrestrial applications.
The company has promoted an evolution of the system to add key benefits for missions, among which are:
“Hand in hand with the DGAM and the Marine Corps, important improvements have been implemented in the versatility of the system, through an evolution that will offer benefits that, until now, did not exist in the market worldwide. We are confident that the system will be deployed very soon” explains Alberto Fernández Cuervo, EXPAL’s Systems Product Manager.
EXPAL continues to focus on the validation of the new capabilities, completing the extensive validation and experimentation test plan, whose completion is scheduled for March 2021.

- Increased pointing precision and integration of the latest generation INU and by means of the stress absorption system integrated into the vehicle.
- Interoperability through the TALOS command and control system.
