A francia fegyveres erők megkapják az első 4×4 Serval-t

A Nexter és a Texelis közös vállalata átadta a francia védelmi minisztériumnak az első 4×4-Serval könnyű páncélozott többfunkciós járművet (véhicule blindé multi-rôles, VBMR). A vállalatok bejelentették, hogy idén összesen 70 járművet fognak leszállítani.

A francia beszerzési ügynökség 2021 elején rendelte meg az első, 364 darab Servalból álló tételt - jelentette az S&T. A Scorpion fegyverkezési program, amelynek célja a francia hadsereg közepes súlyú páncélozott járműveinek megújítása, az első szakaszban (2025-ig) 689 járművet irányoz elő.

2030-ra ez a szám 978-ra emelkedik. A Servalokat elsősorban könnyű gyalogsági egységek, például hegyi csapatok és ejtőernyős ezredek számára szánják. Ezek kiegészítik a járműveket, amelyek közé tartoznak a Griffon páncélozott személyszállító járművek és a Jaguar páncélozott felderítő és harcjárművek is.

A mintegy 15 tonnás Serval három fő változatban kerül forgalomba: Járőrözés, felderítés és kommunikációs relé. A járművekben közös a vetronika, a távirányítású fegyverállomás, a fenyegetésérzékelők és a harci információs rendszer (Système d'information du combat Scorpion, SICS). A SICS segítségével a Serval integrálódik a Scorpion együttműködő harcrendszerbe.

The Serval is not limited to a single version. It comes in several versions for different missions, such as reconnaissance, support and electronic warfare vehicles. Its main mission nevertheless remains the transport of troops under armor, making it possible to approach as close as possible to the line of confrontation.

This armored vehicle is also equipped with the latest technologies, similar to those of the Griffon and the Jaguar. For example, it includes all common Scorpion sets on the vehicle, including the remote-operated Hornet cupola. Our executives have now been trained at the infantry school on this system for 24 months.

The Serval is a beast of a fighter, blending into its surroundings, supple and maneuverable, yet tough as leather. With its impressive general characteristics, it can travel up to 90 km/h on the road, even up to 120 km/h thanks to its 375 horsepower engine. It can carry an organic group, ten people.

Equipped with the V-tronic common to the Scorpion system and the SICS communication system, the Serval gives the chief the GPS positions of all his vehicles in real time. This is a major asset for specialized brigades such as the 3rd RPIMa.

In conclusion, the Serval is an undeniable asset for the fights of tomorrow. Powerful, light and handy, it is perfectly suited to specialized units.
