"Czech Airlines will no longer be a member of the SkyTeam global airline alliance, effective Saturday 26 October 2024.
This is due to changes in the group's operating model that mean the airline will no longer operate scheduled passenger or cargo services under its 'OK' code. The departure of Czech Airlines from SkyTeam will have little impact on the overall network. SkyTeam continues to offer an extensive global network of more than 1,000 destinations in 160+ countries. Connectivity to Prague will be maintained thanks to services operated by five member airlines.

In view of the existing threat to air transport security associated with activities inspired by Russian special services, the President of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Republic of Poland issued administrative decisions on November 6, 2024, addressed to all Polish aviation authority-approved registered agents carrying out security screening of parcels and mail, ordering the immediate implementation of additional security measures.
The additional security measures in question consist of the obligation to reject from air transportation any shipment originating from a single shipper to a single consignee, containing electrical or electronic equipment together with liquids, aerosols and gels.
According to point 4.0.4(a) of the Annex to Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/1998 of November 5, 2015, liquids, aerosols and gels (LAGs) includes pastes, emulsions, liquid/solid mixtures and the contents of pressurized containers, such as toothpastes, hair gels, beverages, soups, syrups, perfumes, shaving foams and other products of similar consistency.
For cargo destined for or in transit/transfer through the United States (TSA requirements):
• liquids, aerosols or gels are not allowed to be transported by air if they are packaged together with battery-powered devices, electrical, or electronic items, batteries, or analog or electronic timing devices by a shipper who does not have an EBR (definition in the appendix 1 to this memo) and is from one of the countries listed in the appendix 2 to this memo,
• if there is any single item (piece, carton) in a shipment or consolidated shipment from a shipper who does not have an EBR, that shipment cannot be carried on a passenger aircraft,
• any single or consolidated shipment selected for additional screening by CBP (ACAS) must be screened by TSA-approved methods (PHS, EMD, XRY, AT XRY, EDS, ETD, K-9),
