Infantry Soldier of the Future – Enhanced System’(IdZ-ES) : Rheinmetall awarded framework contract for soldier systems

• Framework contract worth €3.1bn to procure up to 368 platoon systems (including the regeneration of 68 platoon systems); term until the end of 2030
• Firm order for 92 platoon systems initiated (including regeneration of 68 platoon systems); value around €417m incl. VAT
• Prepared for connection to the D-LBO information and communication network

The framework contract, with a maximum gross volume of €3.1bn, will run until the end of 2030. Overall, the Bundeswehr can thus initiate the proportional regeneration as well as the manufacturing and delivery of up to 368 IdZ-ES platoon systems and various options for the procurement of additional components and services. A platoon is a military sub-unit.

The contract involves, firstly, upgrading the 68 IdZ-ES platoon systems currently in use within the Bundeswehr to a digital standard and, secondly, the firm order of a further 24 platoon systems including extensive peripherals. The firm order, worth around €417m gross, will be booked in the first quarter of 2025.

A platoon system mainly comprises 34 individual soldier-systems and a platoon equipment of peripheral components, consisting of advanced IT-equipment, optics, optronics, as well as military clothing, protection and carrying equipment. As the general contractor, Rheinmetall is responsible for the system and is coordinating the performance of more than 30 subcontractors.

Mi az a "terepbeállító rendszer"???

Feldjustieranlage - tuzvezeto rendszerrol van szó, csak a googli fordítojá ezt nem érti...

A magyar szaknyelvben harci beszabályozó rendszer, vagy ilyesmit hallottam.

A lényege, hogy huzamosabb tüzelés után a cső melegedése miatt a lógása megváltozik, máshová hord, mint ahova hidegen be lett szabályozva. Ezt az irányzó érzékeli, ezért a HB (harci beszabályozás) funkció kiválasztásával a látó mezőben megjelenik egy másik (kompenzált) irányzó jel, amit pot méterekkel az eredetire helyez. Ekkor hozza össze ismét a rendszert, lényegében az elmozdult ágyú torkolatának pozícióját vissza hozza a korábban beszabályozott helyzetbe.

Azért harci beszabalyozás a folyamat, mert kifejezetten a harc közbeni korrekciót szolgálja. Az eredeti német is erre utal.
Ez a legtöbb nyugati harckocsin így van, külső eleme a cső végén látható pozíciónáló tükör. M1, Leopard 2 használja.
Itt most ennek a rendszernek az automatizálásáról lehet szó.

Aus anderer Quelle ist bekannt, dass insgesamt 11.801 Abschussgeräte/Patronen Wirkmittel 90 bestellt wurden, von denen ein Viertel noch in diesem, der Rest im nächsten Jahr geliefert werden soll. Als Option ist die Lieferung von 6.500 Panzerfaust 3 vereinbart. Die dafür benötigten Mittel in Höhe von rund 56 Millionen Euro müssen noch freigegeben werden.

The order, worth a mid-double digit million Euro sum, was signed in December 2024 and booked in the same month. The project, which began in January 2025, will run for four years.

VTAM is a networked simulation-based operational training solution for the German Navy. For this purpose, Rheinmetall Electronic Solutions GmbH is supplying, and taking into operation hardware and software modules at six German Naval bases. VTAM is the first simulation of its kind to be introduced into the German Navy, simulating the interaction between the external and internal combat schemes of a warship (weapons deployment and damage control). This will create a wide range of training and exercise options in the future, enabling crews of vessels, boats and aviation units to be trained together in a virtual scenario.

The VTAM systems to be established in Wilhelmshaven, Rostock-Warnemünde, Bremerhaven, Eckernförde, Kiel and Nordholz will make it possible to connect existing or future simulation systems and on-shore facilities to the training architecture, thus ensuring participation in joint exercise scenarios.

In addition, the new system enables the integration of corvettes and frigates at the bases in Rostock-Warnemünde and Wilhelmshaven, so that crews on board can also take part in joint exercises. The Distributed Training Center (DTC), which is based at the Naval Support Command in Wilhelmshaven, will coordinate and monitor the technical networking and training procedures in the future.

Rheinmetall has received a major order from the Bundeswehr for logistical support in connection with redeploying military forces within Germany as well as their deployment abroad. The framework agreement concluded with the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Infrastructure, Environmental Protection and Services (BAIUDBw) is worth up to €260m gross. The agreement is initially valid for three years. It can be extended twice, by one year at each extension, up until the end of 2029 as a maximum.
With this order, Rheinmetall Project Solutions GmbH is the first industrial partner to take on the task of setting up and operating holding areas (Convoy Support Centres or CSCs) and assembly areas along convoy routes as part of the Bundeswehr's ‘Operationsplan Deutschland’.
