Rafale (Dassault, Franciaország)

Olajban csengetik az irakiak a franciaknak a fizetséget:

The Iraqi Ministry of Defense is actively evaluating plans to bolster its fleet of multi-role fighter aircraft, according to French financial newspaper La Tribune. The budget for this acquisition indicates that the first installment of $240 million has already been disbursed, with the unique arrangement stipulating that Iraq will settle the payment not in cash, but through oil deliveries to France. This innovative payment method reflects both Iraq’s abundant natural resources and its strategic economic considerations.

Mindeközben a lengyelek, akik anno 2003 körül rendeltek 48 Block 52 F-16 C/D gepet $3.2 milliárdért, most a mára komolyan elavult gépeiket egy könnyfakasztó $7.3 milliárdért upgradeltetik (!) a mostani modern standard környékére (APG-83, modern EW stb).
Hihetetlen. :D
Nem csoda, ha az amerikaiakat kerülik az irakiak...

Greece will not buy additional Dassault Rafale fighters and will operate only 24 aircraft as the current numbers are considered sufficient for now, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsosakis revealed in an interview, as reported by Defence Review. He also suggested that a reason could be Athens rather going for an additional 20 F-35 Lightning IIs, apart from the 20 it announced in July 2024 in a $3.5 billion deal.

India closes a $7.6 billion contract for 26 Rafale M fighters, strengthening its naval aviation capability and substituting modern MiG-29Ks on aircraft carriers.

India has signed a $7.6 billion agreement with France to bolster its naval aviation capability to buy 26 Rafale M fighter planes. Scheduled to be formally signed in April 2025 during the visit of the French Defence Minister to India, the deal has been under negotiations for months. With four twin-seat Rafale B versions used for land-based training activities, the procurement consists of 22 single-seat Rafale M aircraft. Replace the outdated MiG-29K fleet, and these upgraded fighters will be sent onboard the INS Vikrant and INS Vikramaditya aircraft carriers.

The conference looks back at the early stages of the ACX study, renamed Rafale A.

It validated many key technologies that were subsequently adopted for the production aircraft, which could then be fine-tuned. Compared with the EAP, demonstrator of the future Eurofighter Typhoon, the Rafale presented the unique capacity to meet the specific needs of our armed forces (nuclear and navalization). We discover the operational and technical differences between the two programs, which shed light on the logic behind the appearance of these machines. The presentation ends with the evolution of the Rafale program and its prospects.
