Rheinmetall Expal Munitions currently operates six production sites located in Trubia, Páramo de Masa, Navalmoral, El Gordo, Albacete, and Javalí Viejo. Its main product is the 155mm M107 shell, which is valued for its low cost but offers lower performance compared to modern ammunition types.

The M107, first introduced into Western artillery in the late 1950s, has limitations in terms of explosive payload and range. Despite this, its affordability continues to make it a widely produced and supplied option.

Rheinmetall Denel Munition has received two new orders for 155 mm ERFB artillery ammunition

Rheinmetall has received additional major orders for the delivery of 155 mm artillery ammunition. An international customer has placed two orders at the subsidiary Rheinmetall Denel Munition to supply extended range, full bore (ERFB) 155 mm artillery ammunition worth a total of a high double-digit million amount. The order includes projectiles, propellants and fuses.

Rheinmetall is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of large-calibre ammunition. The Düsseldorf-based Technology Corporation Rheinmetall has been increasing its production capacity since 2022, and aims at producing at least 1.1 million 155 mm artillery shells per year by 2027.

A European NATO country has signed a multi-year contract with Rheinmetall’s subsidiary Rheinmetall Denel Munition (RF) Pty Ltd (RDM) in South Africa for the delivery of 155 mm projectiles from the Assegai family and bimodular propelling charges.

The order was booked in the second quarter of 2025 and is worth several hundred million euros. Deliveries will begin in 2025 and conclude with final delivery in 2027. The order is the largest in the history of Rheinmetall Denel Munition.

The Rheinmetall Assegai 155mm projectiles and bi-modular propelling charges will be integrated into the customer’s artillery weapon systems, delivering range capability of more than 40,000m with optimal performance in the target area.

Egyébként ez igy hülyeség.A NATO szabvány nem konkrét gránát szabványositást ir elő,hanem az adott kalibert szabványositja.Vagyis,hogy a gránát kilőhető legyen a NATO szabványnek megfelelő lövegböl.
És ezt minden gránát teljesiti is-csak éppen ballisztikai lőtáblázat nincs hozzá......
Az eltérések egy része azért is van,mert az adott gránátot nem a ma érvényes 23 literes töltetűrű löveghez tervezték.Az ilyen gránátot ki lehet ugyan lőni egy mai 155/L52-23 korszerű lövegböl,de a teljesitménye,lőszabatossága nem olyan lesz,mint egy ahoz tervezett gránáté.(egyébként ez az oroszoknál is részben igy van.Magukat a gránátokat cserélgetheted a 2A36 és a 2A65 között,csak a romló teljesitmény és lőszabatosság miatt nemmigazán érdemes.A hüvelyes kivető tölteteket viszont ezeknél nem lehet felcserélni.2A36 töltete be se fér a 2A65be-forditva meg kicsi a hüvely a závárhoz,löveghez.Külön probléma náluk sokszor a hüvely megléte.De nyugaton is egyedül az RDM töltetrendszere olyan,hogy képes ugyan az a töltetrendszer a régi,a mostani,és a 25literes dél afrikai lövegeket kiszolgálni.RM révén különben ez a töltetcsalád van nálunk is,ezt is fogjuk gyártani)

Aut azert tegyük hozzá, hogy a digitális tűzvezető rendszerrel rendelkező eszközökhöz bármilyen gránát es töltet kombináció használható, ha az fel van programozva a tűzvezető rendszerbe.
Én nem lepődnék meg, hogyha egy ukrán PzH vagy kerekes francia csoda tűzvezeto
ő rendszerében 100× több gránát és töltetkombináció lenne mint amit a BW vagy a francia hadsereg gépeiben van.

És erről már volt is szó,itt a fórumon.Ukránoknak alighanem már jó sok kombináció lőtáblázata meg van-jó lenne megszerezni tőlük.....
