After completing the acceptance procedure, BAAINBw (Bundeswehr) took delivery of the 45th A400M transport aircraft on April 11th. The transfer flight is planned for the end of April...

This means that there are still eight aircraft left until all 53 aircraft ordered have been delivered. The target date for delivery of the last machines is 2026, almost four years after the originally planned date.

The aircraft with the identification 54+35 is still not available because it is required for model installation and certification of the DIRCM (Directed Infrared Counter Measures) self-protection system. Qualification is expected in the second quarter of 2025. Then part of the A400M will be equipped with it.

The final construction status for the entire fleet has not yet been determined. Standard Operating Clearance (SOC) 3 is not expected to be recognized until the second quarter of 2026.
