This modification exercises options for the production and delivery of AIM-9X missile production Lot 23 requirements to include: 571 AIM-9X Block II all up round tactical missiles (91: Navy, 257: Air Force, 223: Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers); 48 Block II captive air training missiles (38: Navy, 10: Air Force); 185 all-up-round containers (62: Navy, 67: Air Force, 56: FMS customers); 11 spare advanced optical target detectors (5: Navy, 6: Air Force); eight spare advanced optical target detector containers (2: Navy, 6: Air Force); 31 spare Block II guidance units (live battery) (21: Navy, 10: Air Force); 54 spare Block II captive air training missile guidance units (inert battery) (41: Navy, 13: Air Force); two Block I tactical sectionalization kits for the Air Force; seven Block II tactical sectionalization kits (4: Navy, 2: Air Force, 1: FMS customer); 10 Block II captive air training missile anti-tank missile sectionalization kits (9: Navy, 1: FMS customer); one support equipment for FMS customer; three other lot spare assets for the Navy, Air Force, and one FMS customer, as well as non-recurring engineering associated with Systems Improvement Program III transition to production activities.

Work will be performed in North Logan, Utah (28.09%); Tucson, Arizona (21.64%); Linthicum Heights, Maryland (18.88%); Minneapolis, Minnesota (11.46%); Marietta, California (8.42%); Saint Albans, Vermont (7.75%); Ann Arbor, Michigan (1.44%); Warrington, Pennsylvania (1.22%); and various locations outside the continental U.S. (1.1%), and is expected to be completed in August 2026.

Fiscal 2021 weapons procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $3,413,162; fiscal 2021 missile procurement (Air Force) funds in the amount of $139,381; fiscal 2022 weapons procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $2,524,580; fiscal 2022 research, development, test and evaluation (Air Force) funds in the amount of $548,782; fiscal 2022 research, development, test and evaluation (Navy) funds in the amount of $456,289; fiscal 2022 missile procurement (Air Force) funds in the amount of $190,841; fiscal 2023 missile procurement (Air Force) funds in the amount of $98,450,714; fiscal 2023 weapons procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $55,416,050; fiscal 2023 operations and maintenance (Navy) funds in the amount of $2,485,155; and FMS customer funds in the amount of $100,092,700 will be obligated at the time of award, of which $7,042,769 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Az USA a következő Ukrajnának szánt segélycsomag részeként most először AIM-9M Sidewinder rakétákat is tervez küldeni kifejezetten légvédelmi célra.


Ez azért is érdekes, mert Ukrajnának a jelenleg rendelkezésre álló információk szerint nincs olyan eszköze amiről ezeket indíthatná - pláne légvédelmi rakétaként.

Elképzelhető, hogy "összebarkácsoltak" nekik egy a hajdani CHAPARRAL rendszerre emlékeztető megoldást. A britek már küldtek hasonlót Ukrajnába az ASRAAM rakétákhoz.

The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Republic of Korea of AIM-9X Block II and Block II+ (Plus) Sidewinder Missiles and related equipment for an estimated cost of $52.1 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale today.

The Government of the Republic of Korea has requested to buy forty-two (42) AIM-9X Sidewinder Block II+ Tactical Missiles; ten (10) AIM-9X Sidewinder Captive Air Training Missiles (CATM); five (5) AIM-9X Block II+ Sidewinder Tactical Guidance Units (GU); and three (3) AIM-9X Sidewinder CATM Guidance Units (GU). Also included are missile containers; spare and repair parts; support and test equipment; publications and technical documentation; personnel training and training equipment; U.S. Government and contractor representatives’ technical assistance and engineering and logistics support services; and other related elements of logistics and program support. The estimated total program cost is $52.1 million.

This proposed sale will support the foreign policy goals and national security objectives of the United States by improving the security of a major ally that is a force for political stability and economic progress in the Indo-Pacific region.

The proposed sale will improve the Republic of Korea’s capability to meet current and future threats while further enhancing interoperability with the United States and other allies. Korea will have no difficulty absorbing these articles into its armed forces.

The proposed sale of this equipment and support will not alter the basic military balance in the region.

The principal contractor will be Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD), Tucson, AZ. There are no known offset agreements proposed in connection with this potential sale.

The estimated total program cost is $59.03 million.

This proposed sale will support the foreign policy goals and national security objectives of the United States by improving the security of a major ally that is a force for political stability and economic progress in the IndoPacific region.

The proposed sale will improve Japan’s capability to meet current and future threats in the region. Providing this missile would complement U.S. capabilities, increase capacity in a high-threat region, and support U.S. and Japanese goals to promote regional stability and the strength of the alliance. The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Italy of AIM-9X Sidewinder Missiles and related equipment for an estimated cost of $90.6 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale today.

The Government of Italy has requested to buy twenty-eight (28) AIM-9X Sidewinder Block II+ Tactical Missiles; four (4) AIM-9X Block II+ Tactical Guidance Units; eight (8) AIM-9X Captive Air Training Missiles (CATM); and two (2) AIM-9X CATM Guidance Units that will be added to previously implemented cases whose values were under the congressional notification threshold.

The original Foreign Military Sales cases, valued at $34.1 million ($24.1 million in MDE) and $17.6 million ($9.7 million in MDE), respectively, included a total of thirty-eight (38) AIM-9X Sidewinder Block II+ Tactical Missiles; three (3) AIM-9X Block II+ Tactical Guidance Units; sixteen (16) AIM-9X CATM; and two (2) AIM-9X CATM Guidance Units.

This notification is for a combined total of sixty-six (66) AIM-9X Sidewinder Block II+ Tactical Missiles; seven (7) AIM-9X Block II+ Tactical Guidance Units; twenty-four (24) AIM-9X CATM; and four (4) AIM-9X CATM Guidance Units. Also included are active optical target detectors; containers; personnel training and training equipment; classified and unclassified publications and technical documents; warranties; U.S. Government engineering, technical, and logistics support services; and other related elements of logistics and program support. The estimated total cost is $90.6 million.

This proposed sale will support the foreign policy goals and national security objectives of the United States by improving the security of a NATO Ally that is a force for political stability and economic progress in Europe.

The proposed sale will improve Italy’s capability to meet current and future threats by providing training missiles and guidance units for Italy’s F-35 fleet in support of NATO’s defense mission. Italy will have no difficulty absorbing this equipment into its armed forces.

The proposed sale of this equipment and support will not alter the basic military balance in the region.

The principal contractor will be RTX Corporation, located in Arlington, VA. There are no known offset agreements proposed in connection with this potential sale.

The Government of Poland has requested to buy two hundred thirty-two (232) AIM-9X Sidewinder Block II Tactical Missiles and sixteen (16) AIM-9X Sidewinder Block II Tactical Missile Guidance Units. Also included are missile containers; training aids; active optical target detectors; spares; support equipment; missile support; U.S. Government and contractor technical assistance; and other related elements of logistics and program support. The estimated total cost is $219.1 million.

This proposed sale will support the foreign policy goals and national security objectives of the United States by improving the security of a NATO Ally that is a force for political stability and economic progress in Europe.

The proposed sale will improve Poland’s capability to meet current and future operational needs. The additional missiles will allow Poland to bolster its defenses while increasing NATO interoperability. Poland already has these missiles in its inventory and will have no difficulty absorbing the additional weapons into its armed forces.

The proposed sale of this equipment and support will not alter the basic military balance in the region.

Also included are missile containers; personnel training and training equipment; classified and unclassified publications and technical documents; warranties; U.S. Government engineering, technical, and logistics support services; and other related elements of logistics and program support. The estimated total program cost is $340.8 million.

This proposed sale will support the foreign policy and national security objectives of the United States by helping to improve the security of a NATO Ally that is an important force for political and economic stability in Europe.

The proposed sale will improve Romania’s capability to meet current and future threats by providing air-to-air missiles for its F-16 fleet in support of NATO’s defense mission. Romania will have no difficulty absorbing these weapons into its armed forces.

The proposed sale of this equipment and support will not alter the basic military balance in the region.

The principal contractor will be RTX Corporation, located in Tucson, AZ. There are no known offset agreements proposed in connection with this potential sale.

Fogalmazzunk inkább úgy, hogy a román beszerzés esetében az összköltségnek az egy rakétára jutó költsége átlagosan nagyobb mint 1 millió dollár... (1,136 millió USD/db)
Márciusban a lengyeleknek még csak ugyanez 0,94 millió volt.
Pedig a románok nagyobb tételt rendeltek valamivel...

Ha megnézed az azt megelőző három jóváhagyást, ott meg 1,3 millió USD/db körül volt az összköltségnek az egy rakétára jutó költsége átlagosan. Nem tudjuk, hogy kinél mennyi belőle a rakéta ára és mennyi a szolgáltatás, kiegészítő eszköz költsége.

340,8 millió dollárért kapnak 300 darab AIM-9X Sidewinder block II-t tokkal-vonóval.


Durván nőnek az árak, az orosz ukrán előtt még a legújabb AMRAAM darabja volt 1 millió dollár. Dehát a sima 155-ös lőszer ára is a háromszorosára nőtt.

A rakéta néhány napja veszett el az észak-rajna-vesztfáliai laktanyában, miközben a fegyvereket berakodták, hogy elvigyék az építési munkákhoz. A berakodást felügyelő katona felfedezte, hogy a tényleges szám nem egyezik az aktában szereplő számokkal.

A katonaság most azt vizsgálja, hogy a rakéta véletlenül landolt-e az Egyesült Államokba tartó konténerhajón, mivel ott gyakorlati lövéseket végeznek. Ebben az esetben nem lenne éles feje – áll a jelentés szövegében. Még így is jelentős biztonsági kockázatot jelentene – írta a szerver. Abban az esetben, ha egy ellenséges fél kezébe kerülne a fegyver, hozzáférhetnének a titkosított alkatrészekhez.

„A rakéta nemcsak drága, darabonként 250 000 euró (több mint hatmillió korona), hanem a fegyveres erők egyik legmodernebb fegyvere. A robbanófejben található infravörös keresés segítségével akár 40 kilométeres távolságból is képes pontosan célozni repülőgépeket, drónokat és rakétákat” – közölte a szerver.

Meg kell gyorsan nézni a póstán, nem kuldot e valaki túlméretes csomagot Moszkvába, mint anno a Sidewinder esetében. :cool:

The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale on August 15, 2024.

The Government of Canada has requested to buy forty-eight (48) AIM-9X Sidewinder Block II+ Tactical Missiles; one hundred twenty (120) AIM-9X Sidewinder Block II Tactical Missiles; forty-eight (48) AIM-9X Sidewinder Block II Captive Air Training Missiles; forty-eight (48) AIM-9X Sidewinder Block II Special Air Training Missiles; four (4) AIM-9X Sidewinder Block II+ Tactical Guidance Units; twelve (12) AIM-9X Sidewinder Block II Tactical Guidance Units; and eight (8) AIM-9X Sidewinder Block II Guidance Units. The following non-MDE items will also be included: Active Optical Target Detectors; KGV-135A COMSEC chips; missile containers; training aids, spares; support equipment; training, missile software; and U.S. Government and contractor technical, engineering, logistical, and program support; and other related elements of logistics and program support. The estimated total cost is $264.6 million.

This proposed sale will support the foreign policy and national security objectives of the United States by helping to improve the military capability of a NATO Ally that is an important force for ensuring political stability and economic progress and is a contributor to military, peacekeeping, and humanitarian operations around the world.

The proposed sale will improve Canada’s credible defense capability to deter aggression in the region, ensure interoperability with U.S. forces, and strengthen its homeland defense. Canada will have no difficulty absorbing this equipment into its armed forces.

The proposed sale of this equipment and support will not alter the basic military balance in the region.

The principal contractor will be RTX Corporation, located in Tucson, AZ. The purchaser typically requests offsets. Any offset agreement(s) will be defined in negotiations between the purchaser and the contractor.

Implementation of the proposed sale will require travel of four (4) U.S. Government and four (4) contractor representatives to Canada on a temporary basis in conjunction with program technical oversight and support requirements.
