"Following the German Bundestag’s approval, the Israel Ministry of Defense (IMOD) and the German Federal Ministry of Defence | Bundesministerium der Verteidigung (BMVg) have signed the contract expansion for the Arrow 3 air and missile defense system, manufactured by IAI - Israel Aerospace Industries.

The signing ceremony took place in Germany and was led by Director of the Israel Missile Defense Organization (IMDO) within the IMOD’s Directorate of Defense Research and Development - DDR&D (MAFAT), Moshe Patel, and the Director General of the German Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support, Annette Lehnigk-Emden, with participation from representatives of the IMOD, the BMVg, and IAI.

The contract expansion, valued at approximately $3.1 billion, complements the initial purchase agreement signed two years ago. Combined, the two agreements total approximately $6.7 billion, representing the largest defense export deal in Israel’s history."
