Befejeződött a Piton-5 rakéták integrálása a Tejas vadászgépbe.
A GlobalSecurity.org kiadvány szerint befejeződött a Piton-5 5. generációs levegő-levegő rakéták integrálása az indiai Tejas könnyű vadászgépbe. Az utolsó "aktus" a rakéták tesztindítása volt 04.27-n. Ugyanezen a teszten indították el a Tejasba korábban integrált Derby közepes hatótávolságú levegő-levegő rakétát is.
"Piton-5" az izraeli F-16-os szárnya alatt.
A tesztek Goában zajlottak, és az Aeronautical Development Agency ADA (Aeronautical Development Agency) volt a felelős érte. A tesztpilóták az Indiai Légierő pilótái voltak a Nemzeti Repülési Tesztközpontból (NFTC).
A teszteket állítólag 100%-os sikerrel végezték el. Az összes kilőtt rakéta eltalálta a célpontokat. A Python 5 rakétákat a célponthoz képest különböző szögekből, valamint a látótávolságon túli (BVR) forgatókönyv szerint indították.

India is dispatching 6 of its Tejas indigenous fighters to Britain next month for Exercise Cobra Warrior.

Five Tejas fighters from the Indian Air Force have arrived at Al Dhafra airbase of United Arab Emirates for Exercise Desert Flag VIII.
Supporting the fighters are two C-17 cargo planes and 110 airmen from the air force.
This is the first overseas exercise for the Tejas and the Indian airmen will be joined by their counterparts from the UAE, France, Kuwait, Australia, Britain, Bahrain, Morocco, Spain, the Republic of Korea, and the United States.
