"After 10 days after the collapse of the rat cauldron in Dayr as Asafir/Zebdeen, the allies seem to be on the move again. I recall, at the time, in few posts that a possible next move would be to create a new cauldron involving 5-6 cities, those would be Al Nashabiyah, Al Qasimiyah, Jarba, Al Bahariyah, Hazrama and part of District 7 (see map below).
The events from late last night with the crossing of the Barada River at southern Al Nashabiyah and a coordinated operation that stormed Al Bahariyah may indicate a new cauldron being formed. It is important to mention few things:
1) Those are important villages in East Ghouta, more farm land (rats lost Dayr as Asafir and surround farm lands, very important poultry production) and may be heading to another critical bread basket battle. There are other farm lands in East Ghouta, but it is shrinking fast and will be unsustainable for a large at army and civilians. No food, no war.
2) District 7 has been under rats since 2012, it is central to roads, losing this possible cauldron would create a possible unsustainable position for rats to hold Mayda'a, Hash ash Shalaq and Hash Nasri, they would be all be vulnerable from the south and north.
Those actions above would create serious consequences for the terrorists inside, most likely last terrain to control or pocket money form the civilians will increase infighting etc...We will need few more days to understand is that is a diversion operation or a real deal.
