Saiful Azam was born in Eastern Bengal, then joined Pakistani Air Force and eventually fought against Israel in the Six Day War in 1967. In his combat career, he was officially credited with four aerial victories by three different air forces. Three of those victories were achieved against Israeli Air Force."

Anguilla inváziója 1969-ben a Operation Sheepskin hadművelet volt, amikor a brit hadsereg (ejtőernyősök és tengerészgyalogosok) és a rendőrség megérkezett Anguillára, hogy helyreállítsa a brit fennhatóságot azután, hogy a sziget kinyilvánította függetlenségét Saint Kitts és Nevis-től, és lényegében köztársaságot alapított, de a lakosság valójában az Egyesült Királysághoz való közvetlen kötődést akarta, így az invázió viszonylag békésen, minimális ellenállással zajlott, és sikeresen visszaállította a brit uralmat.
