HIMARS - M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (USA)

"Lockheed Martin is upgrading its factory and increasing production of M142 HIMARS from 48 to 96 launchers per year due to high demand."

Ramping Up: Lockheed Martin Steadily Increasing Production of High-Demand Systems...

“In 2024, we are on track to double HIMARS production, ... and will deliver more than 10,000 GMLRS.

Lockheed Martin is working with the U.S. Army to increase GMLRS production capacity to 14,000 per year in 2025.

HIMARS production capacity has already increased from 48 per year to 60 per year and is on track to meet the 96 per year capacity by the end of 2024. To meet this demand, the company has increased its tooling and maximized the space within its factory footprint. Lockheed Martin is also working with its long lead supply chain on increasing production and advancing funds to shorten manufacturing lead time.

WASHINGTON, May 10, 2024 -

The State Department has made a determination approving a possible emergency Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Ukraine of High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems and related elements of logistics and program support for an estimated cost of $30 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale today.

The Government of Ukraine has requested to buy three (3) High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS). The estimated total cost is $30 million, which will be funded by the Government of Germany on behalf of Ukraine.

The Secretary of State has determined and provided detailed justification that an emergency exists that requires the immediate sale to the Government of Ukraine of the above defense articles and services in the national security interests of the United States, thereby waiving the congressional review requirements under Section 36(b) of the Arms Export Control Act, as amended.

This proposed sale will support the foreign policy goals and national security objectives of the United States by enhancing Ukraine’s ability to defend itself and respond to continued Russian aggression.

This will be a sale from U.S. Army inventory.
There are no known offset agreements proposed in connection with this potential sale.

Implementation of this proposed sale will not require the assignment of any additional U.S. Government or contractor representatives to Ukraine.

There will be no adverse impact on U.S. defense readiness as a result of this proposed sale.

The description and dollar value are for the highest estimated quantity and dollar value based on initial requirements. Actual dollar value will be lower depending on final requirements, budget authority, and signed sales agreement(s), if and when concluded.

"GMLRS Unitary: The combat-proven Guided MLRS Unitary round "

oké, de ez az LM levédett márkája, Pappiék nem használhatják. Ezért jöttek elő ezzel a Global elnevezéssel - vélhetően..
