Azt azért tegyük hozzá, hogy lényegesen egyszerűbb úgy megvédenie az oroszoktól magukat a lengyeleknek, ha köztük és az oroszok közt ott vannak az ukránok, mintha nem lennének és déli irányból is szomszédosak lennének az oroszokkal, nem csak északról.

The consortium led by Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ) has initiated the next stage of logistical support for Leopard 2 family tanks in service with the Polish Army. It includes both technical inspections and repairs.

The contract covers the years 2025-2028 and is already the fourth contract of this type implemented by the domestic industry. Under the last one, in 2024 alone, nearly 130 implementation contracts were implemented for a total amount of approx. PLN 190 million gross, of which 19 concerned the repair of the tank. Similarly to previous contracts, a separate implementation contract will be concluded for the framework agreement covering the verification of the technical condition of the tank. Then, depending on the condition of the machine, agreements will be concluded on the consortium carrying out a technical inspection of the required level or an overhaul and inspection.Currently, the armoured units have Leopard tanks in the A4, A5 and modernised to the 2PL/M1 standard. This is a total of over 230 vehicles. As part of the Polish Armaments Group, technical inspections of Leopard tanks are carried out at all service levels from F1 to F6.

WASHINGTON, April 29, 2025 -

The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Poland of AIM-120D Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missiles and related elements of logistics and program support for an estimated cost of $1.33 billion. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale today.

The Government of Poland has requested to buy four hundred (400) AIM-120D3 Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAM); sixteen (16) AIM-120D3 AMRAAM guidance sections, including either Selective Availability Anti-Spoofing Modules or M-Code; and one (1) AIM-120 AMRAAM Instrumented Test Vehicle. The following non-MDE items will also be included: AMRAAM control sections, missile containers, and support equipment; Common Munitions Built-in-Test Reprogramming Equipment (CMBRE); ADU-891 adapter group test sets; KGV-135A encryption devices; Computer Program Identification Numbers (CPINs); spares and repair parts, consumables and accessories, and repair and return support; weapons system support and software; classified software delivery and support; classified publications and technical documentation; transportation support; studies and surveys; U.S. Government and contractor engineering, technical, and logistics support services; and other related elements of logistics and program support. The estimated total cost is $1.33 billion.

This proposed sale will support the foreign policy goals and national security of the United States by improving the security of a NATO Ally that is a force for political and economic stability in Europe.

The proposed sale will improve Poland’s capability to meet current and future threats by providing air-to-air defense to protect Polish and allied forces in transition or combat and significantly improve the Polish contribution to NATO requirements. Poland already has AMRAAM in its inventory and will have no difficulty absorbing these articles into its armed forces.

The proposed sale of this equipment and support will not alter the basic military balance in the region.

The principal contractor will be RTX Corporation, located in Tucson, AZ. At this time, the U.S. Government is not aware of any offset agreement proposed in connection with this potential sale. Any offset agreement will be defined in negotiations between the purchaser and the contractor.

Implementation of this proposed sale will not require the assignment of any additional U.S. Government or contractor representatives to Poland.

There will be no adverse impact on U.S. defense readiness as a result of this proposed sale.

The description and dollar value are for the highest estimated quantity and dollar value based on initial requirements. Actual dollar value will be lower depending on final requirements, budget authority, and signed sales agreement(s), if and when concluded.

The contract with the Armaments Agency covers the production and delivery of 30 mm ammunition in two types: a cartridge with a multi-function projectile with a tracer and self-destructor MP-T/SD and a cartridge with a sub-caliber projectile with a fin-stabilized tungsten core and a tracer APFSDS-T. In the years 2026-2028 MESKO SA will supply the Polish army with thousands of cartridges in both types in total. The value of the contract is almost PLN 240 million. -
