salary depends on a few factors:
- rank
- danger level
- service type (fighter, support role or non-fighter)
- education
- family status
service type:
the base salary for fighters is 1650ILS (486.19$) per month.
the base salary for support roles is 1176ILS (346.52$) per month.
the base salary for non-fighter roles is 810ILS (238.67$) per month.
danger level:
you also get a bonus depending on the risk of injury on duty.
A+ gives additional 158.80ILS (46.79$) per month. given to soldiers in special forces and units.
A gives additional 77.30ILS (22.78$) per month. given to soldiers serving as ground forces.
B gives additional 54ILS(15.91$) per month. given to soldiers in divisions and outposts.
C gives additional 30.90ILS(9.10$) per month. given to soldiers in non-fighter roles that sometimes participate on the field.
D gives no additional income.
Education:
soldiers with higher education (bachelors or masters degrees) and soldiers that completed 13th and 14th classes in high school (optional classes for technological studies) get a small bonus from the army.
family status:
if a soldier has kids, he will receive a small bonus for each child he has from social security.
Rank:
officers get a minimum bonus of 1000–1500ILS (294.66$ - 441.99$) per month at the very least and the bonus grows for every rank increase.
special bonuses:
soldiers with higher education degrees get a bonus of 306.20ILS (90.22$) per month.
soldiers with a medical majors get a bonus of 2600ILS (766.12$) per month. this bonus is called a Medical grant.
pilots get a starting salary of 8000ILS(2357.28$) per month.

“Combat soldiers, who had previously received 860 shekels ($225) a month, will now earn 1,067 NIS ($282); soldiers serving in combat support roles, who had made 629 NIS ($165) a month, will now receive 784 NIS ($205) a month; and soldiers serving in non-combat roles will make 540 NIS ($141) a month, a raise from their previous salary of 433 NIS ($113).

Soldiers in need can get extra support, soldiers who have families can get much more in excess of 4000 NIS.
There are many other factors like hazzard pay which also affects the wages.
For perspective minimum wage in Israel is 4650 NIS per month. Median wage is circa 6000 and average wage circa 9000.
