WASHINGTON, June 22, 2022 -
The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the NATO Support and Procurement Agency of Precision Guided Munitions and related equipment for an estimated cost of $22.7 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale today.
NATO Support and Procurement Agency as Lead Nation has requested the possible sale of two hundred thirtynine (239) GBU-39/B Small Diameter Bombs, Increment I; two hundred four (204) FMU-152 fuzes; two hundred four (204) MK-82 500LB General Purpose Bombs; and fifty (50) BLU-109 2000LB Hard Target Penetrator Bombs, that will be added to a previously implemented case.
The original FMS case, valued at $1.87 million, included forty (40) GBU-39/B Small Diameter Bombs, Increment I. Therefore, this notification is for a total of two hundred seventy-nine (279) GBU-39/B Small Diameter Bombs, Increment I; two hundred four (204) FMU-152 fuzes; two hundred four (204) MK-82 500LB General Purpose Bombs; and fifty (50) BLU-109 2000LB Hard Target Penetrator Bombs.
Also included are smoke signal cartridges; engineering and technical support and assistance; and other related elements of logistical and program support. The total estimated cost is $22.7 million.
This proposed sale supports the foreign policy and national security of the United States by increasing the flexibility of Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, and the United Kingdom, twelve NATO nations and one NATO enhanced opportunity partner nation, to contribute to overseas contingency operations. This sale increases the quantity of precisionguided munitions within NATO and allows for their pre-coordinated transfer in support of national and NATO requirements.
The proposed sale will improve NATO's capability to meet current and future ground threats with precision. NATO will use the enhanced capability as a deterrent to regional threats, and to increase interoperability within contingency operations. Many of the purchasing nations already have precision-guided munitions in their inventories and will all have no difficulty absorbing these munitions into its armed forces.
The proposed sale of this equipment and support will not alter the basic military balance in the region.
The principal contractors for production are the Boeing Corporation, St Louis, MO; and Raytheon Missile Systems, Tucson, AZ. The principal contractor for integration is unknown and will be determined during contract negotiations. There are no known offset agreements proposed in connection with this potential sale.
Implementation of this proposed sale will not require the assignment of any additional U.S. Government or contractor representatives to NATO.
There will be no adverse impact on U.S. defense readiness as a result of this proposed sale.
This notice of a potential sale is required by law. The description and dollar value is for the highest estimated quantity and dollar value based on initial requirements. Actual dollar value will be lower depending on final requirements, budget authority, and signed sales agreement(s), if and when concluded.

Szerintem Magyarországnak önmagában kellene, hogy ekkora levegő-föld fegyverzettel rendelkeznie. Ennyi országra ez max 1-2 évnyi gyakorlatozásra elég...
Ez --főleg-- arra elég, hogy az európai gyártásnak ne legyen meg a gazdaságos fejlesztési/gyártási darabszám.

AIM-9L Sideeinder levegő - levegő légiharc rakétával lőttek drónról kiengedett légicélokra. Több olyan fiatal pilóta volt, akinek ez volt az első rakétás éleslövészete.
A Gripenek 0.5 - 1 mérföld távolságban fordultak rá a célra és kiahasználva a befogáshoz szükséges 5-6 masodpercet 1,0-1.6 mérföld távolságból indították a rakétáikat. Az indítás után legalább 5 g túlterheléssel és 60 fokos irányváltoztatással váltak ki a cél mögül. A Sidewinder rakéták mind a lézeres közelségi gyújtójuk hatósugarán belül repültek el a cél mellett, majd felrobbantak.
Éles gépágyúlövészet légi célokra
Itthon már minden pilóta lőtt a Bakonyban földi célra a 27mmes Mauser gépágyúval. Kint légi vontatott celokra is tüzeltek. Egy Learjet 35ös celvontató gép 1-1 db 4,5 m hosszú fél méter átmérőjű celzsákot 800 m hosszú kábelen vontatott. A celzsák tartozéka egy lövésdetektor, ami képes 10 méteres sugarú körben szektorialis eloszlásban érzékelni a lövedékeket. Az eredményt tizedméteres pontossággal képesek papirszalagra nyomtatva kiértékelni.
Délután újabb gépágyúlövészet vontatott célzsákokra. 60 lőszert 6 tizes sorozatban adtak le.
Földközeli repülési gyakorlatok
Ez itthon kevésbé megvalósítható. 2 mérföld széles légi folyosón, ahol az alsó magassági határ 300 láb, 92 méter. Ezen kívül terep felett 600 lábon is hajtottak végre imitált támadásokat valós tereptárgyak és képzelt célpontok (gát, híd, epulet, rakétakilövő állások) ellen. Ez a földkozeli nagy sebességű repülés magas koncentrációt igényel.
