The lockdown has made the skies above Gloucestershire much more quiet – with the notable exceptions of huge military planes.
The county has been on the flight path for planes heading out from RAF Brize Norton in recent weeks, including an Airbus Atlas A400M.
The planes are often seen making their approach to the Oxfordshire base flying from west to east.
An A400M planes has been on a vital mission to the Falkland Islands, delivering essential equipment to help construct an oxygen generation plant for the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital on Friday.
The Atlas from Brize delivered the equipment to the British Forces South Atlantic Islands as part of the UK Government’s support to the Overseas Territories during the coronavirus pandemic.
A statement on the base's Facebook page said: "Thanks to the tireless work of HM Armed Forces personnel and Ministry of Defence civilians and contractors, the hospital will now have increased capacity to treat patients with breathing difficulties.
"A team of engineers and technicians from 5001 Squadron at RAF Wittering will shortly deploy to assist in the installation and maintenance of the oxygen generation plant."
The A400M has been playing in a critical role in the UK's battle against coronavirus - airlifting seriously ill patients and helping bring personal protective equipment from Turkey to RAF Brize Norton.
The RAF said in a statement: "The Atlas is ideally suited to such tasks, especially at the present time where care has to be taken in protecting both patients and the medical staff caring for them.
"The newest transport aircraft in the transport fleet, Atlas is a tactical airlift and strategic oversize lift capability, meaning it can carry huge loads into and out of areas that may not have ideal airport or runway conditions, such as gravel strips or beaches.
"This makes it an excellent addition to the standby fleet ready to assist the government in the efforts against COVID-19 with its ability to deliver critical supplies to (or retrieve patients) from remote areas of the UK and abroad."
