Answering Zyuganov, Volodin called for the names of traitors of the USSR!
"The leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Gennady Zyuganov, addressed an open letter to Putin, his letter is also connected with the fact that the head of state will meet with US President Joe Biden in the same hotel where Mikhail Gorbachev met with George Bush three decades ago. "I want to remind you that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the treacherous destruction of our country, which was followed by the collapse of the great Soviet power. Only three meetings were accepted and held, and it also began in Geneva, where today's meeting was held, then there was Reykjavik and in Malta, Gorbachev and his accomplices surrendered the country, completely, unconditionally. And as a result, we are at a broken trough today. For the fifth time in these thirty years, we are writhing in a systemic crisis, " he said. "In my opinion, Putin, the Security Council, the government, and the Duma should draw appropriate conclusions from that tragedy… In the Duma are the materials of the investigation of that unprecedented crime, but the party in power did not dare to consider them. The letter says this in detail and requires an urgent decision based on internal problems – first of all, to change the course, " Zyuganov summed up. To which the speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, for the sake of "purity of relations", called for an assessment of the collapse of the USSR and to name the names of Soviet officials who betrayed the country. "Yes, we need to assess why the Soviet Union collapsed. It would be right to do this without delay. Who betrayed you? Surnames, names," Volodin said during the plenary session of the State Duma. He noted that the former Soviet elite was able to turn the collapse of the country in their favor. "Show the regional committee secretaries who are poor in retirement," he said, adding that the Komsomol district committee secretaries "have become owners of oil companies." Volodin also pointed out that many modern problems of the Russian Federation are the result of the collapse of the USSR. The 90s were "lost time", then it was necessary to collect land, stop conflicts, pay debts, he said. Volodin believes that despite the negative consequences of the collapse of the Soviet Union, Russia was able to take the path of development. "Now those companies that went into private hands have become state-owned. And the subsoil belongs to the state. And social standards are fixed in the Constitution, " he added, noting that a difficult period of formation of a new country has been passed."
