Russian Defence Ministry comments on the statement made by a representative of the NATO Headquarters concerning the fact that there were “photos” giving evidence of violation of the Syrian-Turkish border by a Russian aircraft but they were classified.
According to the Russian Defence Ministry spokesman, Major General Igor Konashenkov, the Russian military department did not expect anything else. It's no coincidence that the Turkish party is pulling the NATO into this muddy story after having made several serious lunges against Russia.
It is absolutely obvious that this data has been made “classified” not for the Russian party but for the public and media representatives, in particular from the Western countries and the USA. Now, it can be said for sure that they were played by Turkey.
The Defence Ministry reminds to the colleagues from the NATO and Pentagon: it would be useful to study the issue before demonstrating solidarity and making broad statements.
For example, today, the Russian defence department has published video footages demonstrating the fact of attacks performed by the NATO member state, Turkey, with heavy artillery on territories and inhabited areas of a sovereign country, a UN member state.
The NATO representative had stated all photo evidence of breaching of the Syrian-Turkish border by a Russian aircraft had been renfrred classified.
