Ez egyértelműen a GE-szponzorálta cikk. Ráadásul önellentmondásos. Ugyanis, ha növeled a levegőátfutást, mert több bleed air kell a többlet turbina és EW rendszerek hűtésére, akkor az nem fogja növelni a tolóerőt, de növeli a fajlagos fogyasztást. Ha több mechanikai teljesítményt veszel ki a főtengelyről, mert nagyobb az eletromos igényed és nagyobb teljesítményű generátorod van, akkor az növelni fogja a fogyasztást. Ha növeled a tolóerőt, mert nehezebb lett a sok módosítás miatt a géped, akkor az növeli a fogyasztást. Ha növekedett a fogyasztásod, de nem nőtt a kerókészleted, akkor csökkenni fog a hatótávod.
Inkább azon kéne sportolni, hogy csökkentsék, de legalábbis ne növeljék a gép tömegét, csökkentsék, de semmiképp se növeljék az EW rendszer hűtésigényét. Maximum a turbináét, mert az legalább közvetve javítja a fajlagos fogyasztást, ha ezzel magasabb turbina előtti hőmérséklet érhető el és így magasabbra emelhető a kompresszióviszony.
