"On 6 September, a meeting of experts was held at the Center for Aviation Training (CLV Pardubice) of the state enterprise LOM PRAHA, the aim of which was to map the possibilities of CLV to contribute to NATO Flight Training Europe (NFTE).
The meeting in CLV was attended by representatives of NATO Headquarters from Brussels, representatives of the Ministry of Defense, representatives of MATC, Air Command and other ACR units and, of course, representatives of LOM PRAGUE. Participants were introduced to CLV, its tasks, technology and capabilities, inspected the simulators, visited the hangar, which is used for aircraft maintenance, and finally visited the tactical simulation center. According to their own words, they left with a good feeling.
The idea of establishing an NFTE has been under discussion for a long time, and finally in June 2021 the Ministers of Defense of the NFTE participants signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and their own work to create a functioning NFTE could begin. The NFTE should provide aviation training for member countries by setting up a network of training centers that make the most of existing centers. Pilots of fighter jets, airliners, helicopters and drone operators / pilots should be trained. "
